A Different Way to Discover Halong
ORIS began with a simple idea: to show travellers another side of Halong. Starting from Van Don, our journeys move through quieter waters, limestone landscapes and places that remain less familiar to many international travellers. But ORIS is about more than taking a different route.
We imagined the ship as a home on the water — one shaped by the warmth, craft and character of Northern Vietnam. From the spaces on board to the food we serve and the stories encountered along the way, each detail is designed to create a stronger sense of place.
This is The House of Tonkin: a journey through Halong that feels personal, unhurried and connected to the region it travels through.

The design of ORIS draws from the landscapes, crafts and everyday life of Northern Vietnam. Rather than recreating the past, these influences are reinterpreted through colour, material, pattern and original hand-painted art throughout the ship.
